2017 Nissan Versa Note

The 2017 Nissan Versa Note redesign is coming soon to Zionsville and Indianapolis, and we’re eager to put you behind the wheel. While we are still waiting on the 2017 Versa Note’s release date and pricing at Andy Mohr Nissan, we have some thoughts on what you can expect when the vehicle arrives.

There will be some changes to the 2016 Nissan Versa Note, but at its core, this is still going to be the affordable and versatile hatchback drivers have come to love.

Expected Changes

Every new model year brings some upgrades, and when the 2017 Nissan Versa Note changes go into effect, we expect upgrades that include:

  • New Colors: One of the most charming parts about the Versa Note is its sporty design, and while we love the current color options, we wouldn’t be surprised to see new colors to shake things up.
  • More Advanced Features: The standard S trim level comes with some nice amenities, but we also know many drivers are upgrading to the S Plus. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a few tech features migrate down to the standard model.
  • Wheel Upgrades: The available 16-inch alloy wheels will likely have some adjustments for the new model year that make them unique to the 2017 Versa Note, especially on the SR trim.

Carryovers from Last Year’s Model

Based on the number of them we see in and around Zionsville and Indianapolis, the Versa Note is already a success, and that means we expect quite a bit from the outgoing model to carry over to 2017, including:

  • Price: The 2016 Nissan Versa Note has a base price of just $14,230 (MSRP) and is one of the most competitive cars in its class because of it. We expect Nissan to keep the price in the low $14,000-range to continue offering value that’s tough to beat.
  • Engine: While the powertrain can always become more efficient, we expect much of the engine specs (detailed below) to remain the same, bringing a peppy and versatile new hatchback to the streets on the 2017 Versa Note release date.
  • Variety of Trims: The 2016 model has five trim levels – S, S Plus, SV, SR, and SL – and we think this level of variety makes it easy for a driver to find what they need. We expect all five trims to be tweaked a bit, but that variety should still exist.

The 2016 Nissan Versa Note Highlights

It’s tough to say just what our favorite features of this hatchback are, but we’ve narrowed it down to three 2016 Nissan Versa Note highlights for those of you who need an affordable new hatchback now and can’t wait for the 2017:

  • Peppy and Efficient Engine: Under the hood of the Versa Note is a 1.6L four-cylinder with 109 hp and 107 lb.-ft. of torque, and the available continuously variable transmission helps it earn an EPA-estimated 40 mpg/highway and 31 mpg/city.
  • Comfort Features: The midwest winters can get tough, but the Versa Note has your back with available comforts like heated front seating and heated mirrors. An available leather-wrapped steering wheel gives a welcoming grip on the commute, too.
  • Expressive Design: When you combine the exciting colors and the aerodynamic design of the Versa Note, you get a sporty little hatchback that has no trouble turning heads.
