Why is My Car Heater Blowing Cold Air?

Heating & Coolant Repairs Sometimes, your car’s heater may start to blow only cold air into the cabin. It’s unpleasant if this happens in the winter months but there are a few simple causes that can be fixed by just a simple trip to our service center.

A very common cause is that there may not be enough coolant to go to your heater core. Fortunately, this is a simple issue as well as a common maintenance need. Simply come visit us and we’ll refill your coolant levels.

Why is My Car A/C Blowing Warm Air?

Perhaps you’re experiencing the opposite problem in which your car’s A/C has started to produce nothing but hot air. In this case, it could be the case of a broken condenser or a broken fan.

Another possible cause for consistent warm air from your air conditioning system is a leak in your refrigerant. No matter what it is, we can repair any leaks and replace any parts when you arrive for a service appointment.

What is Freon?

For many air conditioning systems, a refrigerant chemical called Freon is used to produce cold air for your car. This compressed gas flows through your air conditioning system and absorbs heat, producing cool air.

In some cases, this chemical can leak, causing problems with your A/C. The act of repairing an A/C unit may be as simple as plugging a leak and refilling your Freon levels.

Why is my Car’s A/C Leaking?

Heating & Coolant Repairs As a car ages, leaks can happen. It’s a common issue that really just occurs from the natural wear and tear of the road. Over time, the rubber seals of the hoses that facilitate the flow of Freon can break down due to corrosion caused by moisture.

In the event that you encounter a leak in your A/C system, it can luckily be repaired fairly easily. Rubber seals can be replaced, once again allowing Freon to move freely throughout your car’s heating and coolant system.
