The Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion at Indiana State Fair Grounds is a versatile building that provides a whole host of great family friendly events. Added to the fairgrounds in 2016 this building offers a large space for fairgoers. At the heart of the pavilion is an ice rink where children can enjoy ice skating and hockey with enough seating for up to 600 people.

Guests looking to do some casual ice skating can stop by during public skating hours to enjoy some family fun. Public skating is held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays making it a great way for you to spend the weekend.

Come fair time, this pavilion hosts hundreds of livestock to present some of the great work that local farmers are doing. This is a great opportunity for children to learn about agriculture firsthand and even get a chance to have up close and personal experience with farm animals.

The History of the Indiana State Fair Grounds

For years the Indiana State Fair has been serving the local community with great events that bring everyone together. Founded in 1892 this fair ground has hosted more than 115 Indiana State Fairs.

By 1990 the Indiana State Fair Grounds expanded to provide space for a whole host of events. That’s where the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion comes in. This fairground provides space for all sorts of entertainment so there’s always something to do when you’re here.
