Nissan Pathfinder Dashboard Lights Guide | Andy Mohr Nissan

Nissan Pathfinder

Here at our Andy Mohr Nissan service center, one of our most prominent goals is to demystify your Nissan Pathfinder's dashboard lights. In other words, we want all of our customers near Lawrence, Speedway, and Indianapolis to be able to understand what's up, and what they need to do about it. That's why we created this guide to the Nissan Pathfinder's dashboard lights for our Indiana drivers. If you notice any of the following icons or symbols, please don't hesitate to schedule service ASAP.

Your Comprehensive Guide to the Pathfinder's Warning Lights

dashboard warning lightsHere are the most serious Pathfinder SUV warning lights — the ones that require you to pull over and schedule a service appointment at a moment's notice. Please don't take any of these lightly, okay?

  • Anti-Lock Brake System Warning Light: ABS will appear either within a circle or on its own, and that means that there's a major problem. The ABS helps your brakes to function properly, which means that you shouldn't risk driving if there's an issue. Our service center can fix this problem.
  • Charge Warning Light: The battery symbol (with positive and negative signs and all) means that there's something going on with your Pathfinder's charging system. You definitely don't want a defunct charging system, as that means that (eventually) your vehicle won't even start up!
  • Low Tire Pressure Warning Light: This icon looks like an exclamation point within a tire, and it means that your Tire Pressure Monitoring System has been triggered. Please don't drive around on low tires — it's not safe, it's not good for performance, and it's not good for fuel efficiency.
  • Master Warning Light: On the Nissan Pathfinder, an exclamation point within a triangle could mean a lot of different things. Our team can decipher what's going on, and then fix the issue.
  • Air Bag Warning Light and Seat Belt Warning Light: These lights look like their titles, and they mean exactly what you think they would mean. Your air bags and your seat belts are perhaps the most important tools that you have in keeping yourself (and your family) as safe as possible.
  • Malfunction Indicator Light: This looks like an engine, get in touch with us as soon as possible. It means that there's either a serious problem with your engine or emissions control system.
