PERFORMANCE
Nissan Pathfinder

When you see a large vehicle like a truck or an SUV, one of the first things that comes to mind is the power beneath the hood. Models like the Pathfinder and the Tahoe are equipped with impressive powertrains and performance features.

Take On Any Road

While both models offer next-level engines, like the Pathfinder’s 3.5-liter V6 engine or the Tahoe’s 5.3-liter V8, there are a few key differences when it comes to their outputs, the way they drive on the road, and their efficiency.

For instance, both models offer 4-wheel drive. In the Pathfinder, this is the Intelligent 4x4. You can also opt for Front-Wheel Drive in the Pathfinder. While the Chevy Tahoe has both 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive, it’s missing that Intelligent factor.

Fuel Up

With a large SUV like the Pathfinder or the Tahoe, you may find yourself helping carpool the kids to away games or day trips. With all that driving, it’s important to know how efficient your chosen vehicle is. With the Nissan Pathfinder, you’ll have up to an EPA-estimated 21 city/27 highway MPG rating.*

On the other hand, the Tahoe will cost you both more time and money. Thanks to its EPA-estimated 15 city/20 highway MPG rating, you’ll need to fuel up more often.

TECHNOLOGY
Nissan Pathfinder

Chances are that you’re getting a large vehicle because you need room for the whole crew and your cargo. Whether you’re only in the car for five minutes or five hours, you’ll likely be using the cabin technology.

Standard Connectivity

Both the Nissan Pathfinder and the Chevy Tahoe have plenty of technology features that can help you stay connected. For instance, they feature a similar 8-inch touch-screen. The Pathfinder’s infotainment system is NissanConnect®, while the Chevy Tahoe has the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System.

You can connect your phone easily with available wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ in either model, plus wireless charging.

Turn Up the Music

Of course, there will be a few differences. While the Nissan Pathfinder and the Chevy Tahoe offer available Bose® audio systems, the Chevy Tahoe maxes out at 10 speakers. With the Nissan Pathfinder, you’ll have 13 speakers, including dual woofers.

Plus, the Pathfinder equips Voice Recognition and speed-sensitive volume control. While the Chevy Tahoe has impressive technology, it doesn’t have either feature.

SAFETY
Nissan Pathfinder

Regardless of how many people are in the vehicle or whether you’re driving in an unfamiliar area or not, safety is always a top priority. Both the Nissan Pathfinder and the Chevy Tahoe are built with your safety in mind.

Standard Safety

Many modern vehicles have advanced safety suites that can help you along the way. In the Nissan Pathfinder, this is known as Safety Shield® 360. This suite includes features like:

  • Blind Spot Warning
  • High Beam Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert

While the Chevy Tahoe can be equipped with these features, they’re not all standard. For example, Rear Cross Traffic Alert is available but doesn’t come standard.

Safety Technologies

When it does come to available features, the Chevy Tahoe and the Nissan Pathfinder have similar offerings. Whereas the Pathfinder has the Intelligent Around View Monitor, the Tahoe has HD Surround Vision. However, only the Pathfinder has the standard 12.3-inch Advanced Drive-Assist™ Display.

This display will tell you when it’s time for a break via Intelligent Driver Alertness. It also recognizes traffic signs and will put them right there on the display so you can keep your eyes on the road.
