One of the most important things drivers should consider when looking to keep their fuel economy up is to make sure their tire pressure is at its recommended level. With a low tire pressure, your vehicle will have to work against increased resistance from the road. Check your tire pressure regularly to ensure you have ideal fuel efficiency.

How you press on your throttle also plays a role in how much fuel you use. Harder throttle pressure will use more fuel, so you want to make sure you’re pressing on the gas as much as you need. You can also use inclines to coast downhill, so you use minimal fuel while gaining speed.

It’s also important to make sure you avoid having too much weight in your vehicle. If you have a lot of cargo in the back, this might affect your fuel economy. In general, it’s a good idea to make sure you clear out the inside of your vehicle from time to time to get any unnecessary cargo out of your vehicle.
