NISSAN SENTRA

The 2021 Nissan Sentra and Hyundai Elantra are two compact cars that are tons of fun to drive around the Indianapolis area.

NISSAN SENTRA VS HYUNDAI ELANTRA: POWERTRAIN CAPABILITIES

POWERTRAIN CAPABILITIES

Who doesn’t like having a responsive engine at their disposal to give their commutes that extra little kick? These two sedans offer smooth performance thanks to the combination of high-quality engines and the use of continuously variable transmission technology. So, which of these two vehicles offers the more exhilarating drive?

With the Hyundai Elantra, you’ll enjoy a standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that generates up to 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. All that power at your disposal will ensure you have a blast when you head out on the road each morning.

If you want a more well-designed engine under the hood, we recommend you take a look at the Nissan Sentra. That boost in performance will ensure this vehicle really gets you moving every time you hit the gas.

CABIN DIMENSIONS

It’s important to ensure that you have a spacious cargo area to store all your luggage, but it’s just as essential to make sure your passengers have room as well. Both sedans are designed with a roomy cabin, giving your passengers plenty of space to breathe.

The Hyundai Elantra has a fair amount of front legroom with up to 42.3 inches of legroom available to you and your front passenger. Front-row passengers will be much more comfortable in the Nissan Sentra, though, as it features up to 44 inches of front legroom.

NISSAN SENTRA: UNIQUE SAFETY FEATURES

UNIQUE SAFETY FEATURES

While both of these vehicles share numerous safety features, the Nissan Sentra is designed to take the technology even further with its own set of unique safety systems. One of the most helpful features aboard this vehicle is the standard Rear Automatic Braking which will bring your vehicle to a stop if your car detects you’re backing up too close to an object behind you.

One of the most high-tech features aboard this vehicle is the available Intelligent Around View® Monitor. This technology uses several cameras set up along your vehicle's body to generate a top-down view of what’s around your car. If you’re backing up in a crowded area, you’ll have much better situational awareness at your disposal.

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection autonomously applies the brakes if they sense the driver isn't adequately responding to a hazard on the road ahead. This intuitive system comes standard on the Nissan Sentra.
